Museum of the Great War in Marmolada
The Great War Museum is located at 2950 mt above the sea level, at the foot of the glacier of Marmolada, the Queen of the Dolomites. The exhibition hosts artifacts, photographic material and various documents showing the fervent war activity in those places between 1915 and 1917. At the entrance of the museum, there is a commemorative plaque reminding all the war victims of the two fronts and in the showcases there are many relics reminding both the Austrians and the Italians: these objects are cameras, skis and ice axes, Alpine hats, stretchers and much more.
In this museum there is also an interesting collection of maps and historical geographical maps.
