Casa Museo “Angiul Sai”

The Angiul Sai House Museum in Costalta, an area of San Pietro di Cadore (Belluno), is one of the most interesting examples of wooden architecture in the country, created using the ancient Blockbau log technique. The original rooms have been restored and now house the ethnographic museum, and serve as a snapshot of historical rural Alpine architecture.

The project to restore and protect the architectural heritage of Costalta arose in the 1980s, in the context of the Committee for a Museum of Alpine Culture of Comelico, established to safeguard local traditions, including through a series of small museums across the area.
