Azienda Aiarëi – Lüch da paur di Philipp Tavella
In the municipality of La Valle, the Tavella family farm raises Pezzata Rossa cows for milk and for the meat of both the Pezzata Rossa and Pezzata Rossa crossed with Limousin cattle. The farm switched to organic production in 2014 and has been managed by Philipp and his wife Emanuela since 2018. In 2019, the barn was converted into a composting barn. Philipp works on his farm full time, cultivating his land and 24 hectares of surrounding forest. The farm does not use feed, flour or grains to feed its animals, just hay and grass from summer pastures, so the hay milk it produces and delivers to Vipiteno is 100% organic. The other products, including fresh meat and smoked sausages, can be purchased right on the farm.
