Friulian Dolomites ecomuseum “Lis Aganis”


The ecomuseum is designed to promote local culture, society and heritage, as well as a better quality of life in rural areas. It also supports forms of sustainable local development. Active in around thirty different places in the Dolomites, the ecomuseum offers themed routes linked to water, stone and local trades, and includes: the museum of art and rural culture in Andreis, the environmental school educational centre in Barcis, the Pianpinedo wildlife park in Cimolais, the traditional housing museum in Claut, the museum “Da li mans di Carlin” in Frisanco, the Bathazar workshop, the former hydroelectric power station “A. Pitter”, Palazzo Toffoli and the archaeological museum in Montereale Valcellina, the “Casa della conoscenza” in Tramonti di Sotto, and the “Antica fornace” fortification in Tramonti di Sopra.
