This difficult route is related to the “Pale di San Martino, San Lucano, Dolomiti Bellunesi, Vette Feltrine” system of the UNESCO Dolomites and is meant for trained, well equipped hikers. This panoramic itinerary alternates shady sections with conifers (larch and fir trees) with open sections overlooking the wide Alpine meadows with spectacular views over Civetta and Pelmo. The landscape is typically Dolomite: gently sloping volcanic bases dotted with lush woods and fertile meadows, towered over by the majestic Dolomite peaks with their unmistakable profiles. The route is a “classic” for hikers in the Zoldo Valley and a very good example of the landscape of the World Heritage Site.
