Rinaldo Zardini Paleontological Museum

This museum hosts one of the richest existing paleontological collections thanks to the intense research and study carried out by Rinaldo Zardini, the naturalist to whom the museum is dedicated. This exhibition has been there since 1975 and it represents a unique occasion to know and understand the geology of the Dolomites mountains: many showcases contain minerals, rocks and especially fossils of marine invertebrates, corals and sponges that were preserved thanks to the extremely fine limestone sand.
The Ampezzo collection is well understandable thanks to the labels describing each part of the exhibition.
